Case Study APS

In 2003 EGAPI wins the tender for the implementation of the Access Control and Attendance Management system in the Port of Sines.
In this context, it develops and implements the first version of access control to sensitive areas of ports, taking into account the requirements of the IMO - ISPS Code, applying them to the Security and Access Control Terminal Complex.

Over the last decade, it was the challenge and responsibility of EGAPI to develop and maintain ID -System platform for this important Port Administration.
The platform currently covers 100 % of the terminals, concessions and international zones, interfaces with pedestrians, road or rail:

  • 33 security zones;
  • 109 validation points;
  • 10 control ordinances and attendance;
  • More than 16 000 annual requests for access;
  • More than 3,000 hits daily.

Internationally audited successfully, APS figure in the list of ports ISPS security certification.

Besides a security tool and diligence, the platform now has other technological components of streamlining processes and improving operations:

  • Single Card Port;
  • Physical- Check Commodities and Containers.
